Depression doesn’t always look like sadness. Sometimes it feels like exhaustion. Like your energy disappeared. Like the simplest tasks require enormous effort. If you're struggling with motivation, low mood, or feeling disconnected from life, you're not alone.
But depression often shows up in subtle ways that gradually affect daily life.
You might notice:
• constant fatigue or low energy
• difficulty getting started on simple tasks
• loss of interest in things you used to enjoy
• trouble concentrating or mental fog
• disrupted sleep patterns
• feeling emotionally numb or disconnected
• a sense that life feels harder than it should
These experiences are more common than many people realize.
And they are often treatable with the right kind of care.

Depression is influenced by many different factors.
Brain chemistry plays a role — but so do things like:
• sleep quality
• stress regulation
• metabolic health
• hormonal changes
• chronic inflammation
• lifestyle patterns
This is why treatment that only looks at symptoms sometimes falls short.
Treatment may include:
✔ thoughtful medication management
✔ evaluation of sleep and lifestyle factors
✔ consideration of physical health influences
✔ collaborative treatment planning
✔ ongoing follow-up and support
The goal isn’t simply reducing symptoms.
It’s helping restore energy, emotional balance, and daily functioning.

Jonathan is a dual-certified Nurse Practitioner in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care (AGNP-C) and Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP-BC).
This background allows him to approach depression differently from many traditional psychiatric practices. Instead of focusing only on medication adjustments, he considers the broader health factors that influence mood and mental clarity.
With experience across inpatient psychiatry, home health, assisted living, and private practice, Jonathan brings a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to patient care. His goal is to help patients understand what’s happening in their bodies and develop a treatment plan that supports both mental and physical well-being.
